No apologies DB, this thread has been sidetracked so much it looks like the rail yards in Chicago

 

Sorry for being late to get back to you all but today my buddy put the timing light to my 79 F350 and when he started it was at 20 BTDC and the book calls for 3 degrees and that is where we are now. Will drive it tomorrow and let you know what happens and Thanks for all of your help
