...of a new Bronco, with temp tags, on the road over the weekend. For some reason I thought it would be bigger.
There are two versions. The Bronco, based on a truck frame from the Ford Ranger line which is about as big was the F150 was between 1997-2003. The Bronco Sport, FWD based on the Ford Escape unibody, with 4WD that turns on the rear wheel power. I've heard they both very capable, the Bronco fans at Ford wanted to do this right. Obviously though the bigger frame version is more "hard core".
This musta been the Sport version. 'Cause my first thought was that it was about the size of the 1st gen Escape.
I haven't seen one yet, except the Ford photos. The modular design of the Bronco where you can swap out parts including body panels really quick is what excites me. I haven't been this intrigued by a new truck in a long time.
