But we already have a Veterans Program in place. Why pull a political stunt and create another?
The one in place gets Vets assistance and information on getting SNAP and other programs and has food pantries to assist.........Don't understand why everyone gets their panties in a wad when someone wants to waste money on a new program and a new office when others want a program is in full force and already has helped millions of Veterans through the VA Office of Health Equity supported and financed.
Instead of starting up some new duplicate do nothing 'study' program, why not put the money towards a program already in place, already getting Vets help with SNAP and other programs and already has food banks running, handing out food to help them?

The new office is not doing what existing programs already do. I suggest you read the bill (its not long), look at the problems vets have wading through what they can get, and the lack of data from states, and you might understand why it's needed and why all Democrats and most Republicans voted for it.

Those who didn't, are among the "pwn the libtards" groups who'll hurt their own constituents if it means the opposing party doesn't pass legislation. For example, the 12 Florida Republicans who voted against a disaster aid package for their own state. I suspect the reporting requirement portion of the bill also didn't sit well with many of those voted against it because it would highlight the poor a job their states are doing. Many of them also overlap with the group that fought hard against helping military burn pit and contaminated water victims.

I have read the bill and our American Legion Club, VFW and DAV groups have all discussed it. There isn't even any money in the bill to set this up. I suggest you read it, study what the VA has already established and get into some of these groups and see what is going on. Even better, how about volunteering at the VA and helping out a bit instead of bieting so much.
