I’ve got a 2024 f350 lariat with high output 6.7 diesel. I’ve installed a bunch diesel transfer tanks in My 20 years traveling the USA as an IBEW journeyman lineman especially on Highline jobs. I almost always put a toggle switch inside the cab so the pump isn’t hot all the time. I never really gave it much thought I’ve put them in fords chevys and dodges. So now this is my truck so I want it done right so I called GPI I have new m-series 18GPM pump, and I asked about thr upfit switches and the fella said the pump can draw upto 150 amps when starting up so he said to get a 150-160 amp 12 volt toggle switch I can’t seem to find one. Any thoughts from y’all out there. I will say this ive had 2012 f250 6.7 a 2008 f250 6.4 and I have 2010 f350 6.4 and my 2024 f350 with that high output 6.7 and I just purchased a 24” Kaufman tilt top gooseneck trailer and 2016 cat 299d2xhp compact track loader all total trailer and machine just a touch over 17,000 lbs and damn this motor seems like it isn’t working to snatch that trailer and machine down the interstate. It’s kind of impressive

Instead of a 150 amp toggle, get a regular low amp toggle and have it power a 150 amp relay.

Got ya that makes sense that’s why the toogle switch GPI has for the pump is so big it’s got a built in relay. It all makes sense now. Very much appreciate the info. Powerline electrical type stuff I’m a master of automotive not so much. I decided to put a cool looking battery disconnect switch inside the cab as my cut off point it’s rated for like 300 amps. But thanks again for the knowledge
