I wouldn't worry about a 5.4L from 2007. The heads were redesigned and the spark plug issue eliminated. The F150 is the most popular one out there. You could have two vehicles with the same percentage of complaints, and if vehicle "A" has twice as many on the road as "B", the complaints will look twice as bad, but they really aren't.

These trucks are 500lbs heavier than the 1997-2003, they really need the extra power and flat torque curve of the 5.4L 3V. Not everyone will agree I'm sure. :)

I drove a 2010 F150 for about 100k miles with the 5.4 and never had a problem, all that miliage was pretty much highway and some 40+ mph back roads thou, not much town use prob less than 10% of my driving. I did that over the course of about 18 months. Cant say much on the 4.6 never drove one with it.

I bought a 2000 150 with a 4.6 and 110 thousand miles on it. Put another 110 on it and only had to replace sparkplugs.

Mine is a 2000 F-150 with the 5.4L and has 139k on it. Had my spark plugs swapped out had no issues.

So you didn't change them yourself?

I had a shop do the swap as I don't have tools any more.
