Hi all. I'm going to attempt the build of an F1 from what most would consider scrap. It's a project of determination that hopefully will be successful in showing that even a "beyond repair" pickup can be resurrected. I hope to demonstrate that perseverence, skill, and patience can overcome the predilection of just buying new or better parts. Futile attempt, perhaps, lol.

This is where it began, and evolved from a salt-flat push-truck to a bell telephone truck. I can't find a pic right now, but the frame is on a home-made rotisserie ready for blasting and painting.... this Spring, if work ever picks up. The cab and such are out back, and yes, a better hood was found, lol.

Sounds like crickets in the '48-52 forum, lol. Well, the ground is thawing out at my place, and so soon, I should be able to get all my parts out of storage, and get started on this thing.

Work has not picked up like we had hoped. So the next step is to get all the parts covered and organized before Winter. There's still a chance of getting the frame blasted, though.

Work has picked up in the last month, so things may get back on track yet.

my apologies. Work went from super slow to crazy busy. Not a bad thing, really, but the stress involved in running a department like I do has taken over every minute of my life, and with that the pitfalls. I've been trying to regain myself, and hope to get back on this project this year.

Projects take time, and life is part of the project.

Funny thing, by the time you get around to it, you will be able to afford the things you only dreamed of when you first got the truck!

    Don't rush progress......

Starting over. Hopefully for real this time.
