1957 F100 Gas Tank Removal

    Replacing stock gas tank on 57 F100!

    Any tips or bewares?

    It’s all up to personal preference, I chose to relocate mine on my 67 to the rear frame rails instead of in the cab. Gives you a little more room in cab and gets the gas smell out.
    Either way LMC truck, Dennis Carpenter, and other have both options available.

    What about removal of original tank, any difficulty or tricks? Hidden bolts?

    Wasn’t on my 67, just 4 bolts, the fuel line, a ground wire, and the sending unit wire. Would be easier with seat out.
    If you go with rear mount tank you can extend the fuel line and gauge wire from under cab.. LMC sells a patch price to weld in where the filler neck is removed
