    I got this truck for free from a retired State Trooper. He bought it for his son, who had no interest in it. He wanted it gone. It needed some work to get running but I got it running. The original drive train was a 292 with a 3spd with overdrive. It was replaced with s Olds 330 and a jetaway automatic transmission.

    F10 = F100 2WD

    C = 292 2V

    R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.

    302964 = 1962, assembled June 1962.

    122" Wheelbase.

    FM: F = Baffin Blue / M = Corinthian White

    F100 2WD, 5,000 lbs. GVWR

    B = Borg Warner T-86H 3 Speed Manual Transmission with Overdrive.

    12 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.89-1 / 3,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

    5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

    135 net HP @ 3,800 RPM

    71 = Los Angeles (SoCal) Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

    I'm not aware of a 330 Olds, the first Olds OHV V8 (introduced in 1949) was a 303. Jetaway introduced in 1956 Cadillac/Olds 98, optional in Olds 88 and Pontiac.

    My dad (who was an Olds dealer) once warned me, if buying a 1956 Olds 88 or Pontiac, if there's a P in the quadrant, PASS!

    The 330 olds is out of a 1966 Oldsmobile Cutlass. It is the high compression engine at 320 Hp. It has a first gen Rochester Quadrajet. The Transmission is the Jetaway with switch pitch.

    The San Jose plant (actually Milpitas, Ca) has been a shopping mall for quite sometime now.

    The R as the 5th digit of the VIN originally referred to the Richmond assembly plant which was replaced by the San Jose plant beginning in 1956.

    The Richmond plant is extant, restored several years ago by the city of Richmond for multi-use.
