1965 F-100 KING PIN BUSHING

    Am I stuck with nylon king pin bushings, or can I us metal bushings? Thanks

    Yes you can get a Kingpin kit with metal bushings. Unless you have access to the proper driver and reamer for installing and fitting the bushings and know how to do it, you should take the spindles to an automotive machine shop and have them do it.

    I can say from experience on my 67 F100 that's the way to do it! I started to do it myself and realized soon enough it wasn't my skillset that was lacking, but a lack of specialized tools to handle this.

    It's not something a person is going to get at the Autozone tool loaner program!

    Id take the i beams to a machine shop and have them do it not tot expensive at all. Thats what I did
