Hi. I am brand new to this forum. My mother in-law left us with a F-250 manual transmission. with 16,000 miles on it. It is in great shape with a few small scratches. it has been in storage for 20 plus years, so it would take some effort to get it running. My wife and sister want to sell it. It ran when it was put in storage. Should I sell it as is or should I get it running? Of course they are asking me what it is worth, so if you could give me a range that I could expect to get out of it, I would appreciate it. I know that is hard to do not seeing it. It is going to take some effort to get it out of the shed to get a better look at it and provide more details, but I can tell you it is nice old truck. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
running and driving will bring more money, but may also cost thousands of dollars to get in that condition

If you haven’t sold this yet, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos where guys go out and get vehicles running that have been sitting outside for over 20 years. My favorite is Vice Grip Garage. He’s done an F250.

Personally, I would give anything if someone on either side of my family passed me a Ford truck. Any year. I did turn down a bumpside F100 many years ago because I just bought a 1980 F100. I’ve kicked myself ever since.
