The F100 was introduce with the F600 instrument cluster in South Africa.
Was this also available in the US or was this unique to SA spec F100.

Welcome to FTZ. Tough question you have there, maybe BKW our parts Guru might have an answer. Pretty sure our Standard F-100 would have had Fuel and Temp Gauges and Idiot lights for Oil and Alt. The F-600 would have had all 4 Gauges and there would have been a Brake Booster Vacuum gauge with a Low Vacuum Red warning light that I believe flashed. Cap

Thank you for the reply. Yes it does have the 4 gauges but not a "low Vacuum Light".

Is it possible the an owner before you added the panel to your truck? Or it was an option down there? Is Your truck a Custom Cab? How about a picture of your truck and of the gauge panel? Does the Warranty Plate say what country it was built in Cap

All cluster look the same in SA. They were built by Ford South Africa.

Wow! Nice Truck! I guess there is no sand and salt to rot them away in SA. Right Hand drive also. Three speed on the column would only need a flat floor in the cab, thinking F-600's here would be flat floor with 4 or 5 speed transmission'. Yes that is what our F-600 dash would look like. Thanks for sharing, fun, interesting subject you have brought to FTZ.

    Appreciate your feedback.
The Ford is still as original as in 1976.The only change I made was to replace the carb. with a 38DGAS Weber due to fact that rebuilt parts for original carb. is not available in SA.
The 300 with the Weber gives me 15 Mpg.

Looking at your pictures again. Another unusual I see is the Orscheln Hand (parking) Brake. Not in our F-100-350's, maybe an option???? Yes in F-600's and above thru the floor mounted to side of transmission with brake ass'y on rear of transmission.

What is the possibility to find a original F600 6cyl Rev.Counter that will fit into the cluster?Feedback would be appreciated.

On Rev Counter/Tachometer. In 76 with electronic ignition there may have been a tach option, not sure. Earlier trucks would have had from the factory a mechanical tach, driven by cable from the distributor. I have looked in the past and it appears Ford didn't off a 6 cylinder distributor with a tach drive, even in industrial applications. For different V-8's, yes. There is MUCH online of what folks have done to add a tach as you want, with aftermarket tachs being very close to your original. One person even had the guts of a mechanical tach removed and fitted with an electronic movement so it looked the same as the vacuum gauge on other side of the panel.

1973/79 F100/350: Oil and amp warning lamps were standard equipment, oil and amp gauges were optional.

F500 and larger F series truck instrument clusters were not factory installed in F100/350.

F600 clusters were fitted standard on all F100 manufactured in South Africa.
The 300 cub six were also the most common engine in these trucks.
