I have a 78 f250 4x4 4spd, recently replaced the clutch. It grabbed great to start but getting to a stop sign it has recently stayed in neutral and wont let me put it in gear again i'm not sure if its clutch issues or transmission issues any help would be great if someone has experience the same/similar issue!

Welcome Bomber78. A little more info needed. If you step on the clutch pedal, can you push it all the way to the floor? When you let the pedal up, does it come all the way up by itself? Have you looked at the adjustment rod between the fork and the equalizer link the goes between the frame and the engine? All look intact? If you grab the fork and move it fore and aft, does it stay inline or move all over the place, as if the fork came off it's pivot in the bell housing?? Cap

Yes I can push the pedal all the way to the floor and it release back up with no issues. I have not adjusted the rod since putting the new clutch in when i did get a gear i let up on the clutch and it grabbed right away thinking no adjustment was needed.

Adjusted correctly there should be about 1/8" clearance between the thro out bearing and clutch pressure plate fingers, which you Can't see, being In the bell housing. It's a feel thing. For years Ford used a over center spring on the pedal ass'y under dash to assist in pushing the pedal down and returning the pedal to the full up position when you let it up. The correct adjustment necessary make the spring over center feature work and give you the required downward movement to let the pressure plate release the disc so you can shift the transmission with no effort. At the pedal, you should feel/see, a free play (movement) of about 1" to 1 1/2" before the thro out bearing touches the fingers on the pressure plate

You didn't really answer all my Questions in post 2
