okay, so this is my first truck to own ever, it's a '84 F250 that has a 1990 7.3L engine with an aftermarket turbo and a gear vender transmission.

I got her for $2500 a few months ago and the only issue right now is the clutch is stuck being engaged(the pedal is sitting on the floor).

i did some research and tried to follow a guideline of just tracing the clutch pedal down to the transmission trying to find the reason. but with the gear vender transmission on there i can't find any of the places to look(linkage in under dash, fluid reservoir).

Where do I go from here?

    welcome to FTZ.
the first thing i would do is see if there is fluid in the clutch master cylinder.
it is located on the firewall under the hood rite next to the brake master cylinder.

    Found it.
It was hidden behind the catch can.

    that looks empty.
it takes brake fluid. pull the clutch pedal up, fill it, and work the pedal. if you are lucky it may just start working again.

does this mean i have a leak somewhere along the line? or does the cylinder need replacing?

who knows? if it has never been opened, it may have just evaporated.

Alright. so I fill it up and pumped the clutch a few dozen times. It’s still soft so I’m trying to figure out how to bleed the line but it’s got a gear vendor transmission and I’m not sure how to work it out. I used a 60ml syringe with 2 o rings on it to try and pull the air up and it got it to bounce back up, but it’s slow and still feels soft.

there should be a bleeder down on the slave cylinder. but they are a real pain in the asterisk to bleed.

    So.

I found the leak was at the slave and I decided to just replace the MF. New one works fine now. Thanks for the help.

gear vender transmission?? no such animal your ford either has a borg warner T19 or a new process 435, possibly a zf, gear venders is a company that makes od units to go behind a 3 or 4 speed transmission with out od to give it one
