My 86 F250 does not have a fuse box in the engine compartment, how do I read the error codes?

Good Morning, error codes for your computer system? Just under the dash either side of steering column should be a multi pin connector to plug in a scan tool to reads the codes and erase them. Most Auto parts stores will come out to your truck with a scan tool and retrieve the codes for you. Hope this helps. Let us know how you make out.

Your truck may not be OBD compliant, '87 is, but my '84 is not. If carburetted, it has no computer to get codes from, if you have the EFI 302 it may, but I don't know for sure.

The F250 got EEC-IV computers later than F150 since their emissions requirements lower. The California F250 got it first, but I don't remember the year.
