Ok so im new to this but none the less here i go. I am a ford man through and through. I have a 87 short bed, and a 93 longbed extended cab. Both have the same problem. Cross member has broke lose from frame and behind steering box frame has cracked. Tried welding it, drilled end of crack out and it worked fir some time,vut now beside my welds the frame is cracking again. Im gonna go with bolts and steel plates this time. But the 93 blew a head gasket, so I want to get my 87 running. Which ive never seen run apart from my sister who pressure wash the engine bay and has it ran since. I have no idea what she or my dad has done to the engine but I can get to turn over as spark and has fuel but it will not hit a lick. I need to figure out what is the process of elimination to determine the problem and if it's computer will the 93 computer work both for 5.0 I think both have the same transmission only difference is the 93 is electric four-wheel drive and 87 is a manual transfer case. both are automatic transmissions. Please help
