1990 F250 Stock Steel Wheel Differences?

    Hey everyone. New to the forum so I hope that I have this going to the right place. I have a fully stock 1990 F250, 7.3 Diesel, 2WD, Extended cab. My 16" stock steel wheels do not have the center hole lip as I see on most. I am wanting to purchase an additional set to mount studded tires on for winter here in Colorado but am seeing mainly the wheels with the lip in the center hole. I have heard that they are not interchangeable but cant seem to verify that information.
    Can anyone out there provide reliable info on this??

    If your truck does use hub piloted wheels, which is what that lip is, then you have to use that type. Just include hub piloted in your search specs.

    So my wheels don't have the lip but to get them off I have to kick them to break them loose once the lug nuts are off. Seems the center hole is very tight and doesn't like to let go easily. Wouldn't that be hub piloted since there is absolutely no wiggle room?

    Sounds like it might be. Do the holes where the lug bolts go have a taper where the lug nut tapers down into them, to center them?

    1990 uses lug centric wheel, not hub centric.
    the reason you need to hammer them off is due to the wheels corrosion welding to the drum/hub assembly, not press fit.
    or it has dodge wheels on it and they are tight to the hub.
