    Hello all,

I have a question about this sound I have that ONLY occurs when I am (1) in gear and (2) at low RPMs. This sound goes away once I get cruising around 40+ mph. After some research, I found I should be tapping things with a deadblow (such as the cat and the exhaust heat shields. If anyone has had any similar issue and have some advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Truck has only 162,000 miles on it. Engine runs smooth and quiet. I have zero issues in regard to power, ride, etc. Just this really annoying sound as described above.

Sounds like you're on the right track, probably a heat shield, or something touching the exhaust that shouldn't be.

something with the muffler, maybe disconected and rubbing somewhere.
