So, I'm going to put AC in my 1992 F-350. I got a donor, which is a 1995 F-150 with a 5.0. So after doing some looking around, I found a lot of electrical things are different. I pulled the harness for the motor, and for the cab. So what I want to know is will the harnesses swap over? My F-350 it's going in has a harness out of a 1993, and it has a 5.8. Thanks to anyone who can answer.

 

i had a 95 and found under the hood i had a cali emissions engine not a 49 state, it had the later EFI found in 96 and newer which meant a different wire harness for OBD 2
so if thats the problem you might possibly have to even swap the computer over

i do a/c installs into classics at my shop , so first hand one from https://www.oldairproducts.com/ who makes a kit for that truck will be a lot easier in the long run

 

Lol, those kits are more than I paid for the whole truck, and the parts one with AC I bought combined.

 

Well, I found that the plugs were pinned differently. I was able to get one wire right, but never ended up finding the other wire. Is one a ground?
