Need some help figuring out problems with 96 F2 50 with only 66K miles original . The previous owner replaced the computer in it because it was bad . He told me sometimes it starts and drives and sometimes it won’t . Anyway found out computer was wrong for that particular truck . I Purchased a correct used one . Truck drove fine for a hour or so . And then it just died out again . I replace the crank module with a new one .Drove OK for a hour or two then it died out again . I replaced The ignition module . Still did nothing then I put a brand new distributor . Drove OK for 3 days and then it died out again . I don’t know what else to do can anyone help me

Any codes ?

 

It only showed one code for crank sensor . We replace that then it died out a few hours later .Then it only showed ignition module. It died out a day or two later . Then it only showed distributor . Drove for about 3or 4 days then it just died out again . Not showing code right now but my mechanic friend is checking all the wiring for the ignition to double check things . We’re kind of stumped on what the problem is
