Do let's try this again I have a 1997 ford f250. I just recently installed a new shift tube , test drove it that evening everything was fine I took it out the next day and started having issues, the speedometer started bouncing around, the abs light came on and it was shifting funny.Anyway I did install a new vss to the rear pumpkin and still have the same issues so I have to drive around more or what. Had it scanned this morning and came up with a 539, 111, code which has nothing to do with my problem that is an AC on switch apparently .transmission fluid looks and smells good engine sounds fine so what the hell could it be.Thankyou for your help.

 

speedometer bouncing, ABS light on, and funky shifting tells me either the VSS is bad, or the connections into the VSS are bad.

 

I put new vss in will try new pig tail and get back thankyou
