Bought this truck awhile back to use as a farm truck. It gets driven a few times a week around my place. Went to get tires on it last week and got about 5 mins from home and blew a plug out of the head. I turned around and took it to my neighbors garage In town (about 2 miles from where I was at). They are going to change all plugs & coils. He knew what it was when I pulled in his lot. Hope to get it back this week and it doesn’t beat my wallet up to bad. Hopefully when they fix it, it doesn’t happen again. How often should the plugs be changed?

It’s a sharp truck for an 03 and I like it alot. It’s a 4x4 ext cab long bed. It has 202k miles so I was dumbfounded that it blew a plug as I figured they would have all been repaired at some point. When I bought the truck I changed all the fluids.. t case, transmission full fluid replacement and filter, front and rear diffs, engine oil and coolant. I did all this work. Mobil 1 in transmission, t case and engine. Valvoline synthetic gear oil in rear and front diff. Attached are the only two pics I have of the truck.

The original plugs were platinum, which have very little tip wear. Ford recommends 100K change intervals, which is okay on that engine's 2V heads.
