Not necessarily the CMCV itself, but definitely a short somewhere along that circuit, possibly with the CMCV itself. No easy way except getting a multimeter and testing.

But to double-check I would unplug everything else on the circuit except the CMCV, and see it still blows.

So not a mechanic by any means but are u saying if it’s the only one of the 10 or so items on fuse 32 that’s blowing fuse I have found the problem in the cmcv as the shorting issue of the fuse blowing. I’m not afraid to get in there r pull manifold and change it but don’t want to if it’s not the problem. Had this truck since new kids drove to high school and college and I love it . Thx for your help

ok so stared engine with the cmcv disconnected no blowing fuse no codes drove truck for 1/2 hour ran great . I understand the cmcv gives the engine more air for power after 3000 rpm so my question is will it hurt and have any adverse affect If I drive the truck keep it under 3000 rpm till I have time to pull manifold and replace .
