2007 F150 4.6 V8; 2wd; 357,000 miles

    Hi all-
    Just a comment- someone asked about the 4.6 motor. We have great fleet use with them here in Mississippi. The one I own has 357k on it, and uses no oil. Issues are transmission and a/c blending door however. Drove an 05' with same motor to 457k. It quit using oil for the last 100k, by switching to straight 30w oil. The 05 got retired w/bad transmission, blend door, & messed up power steering. But motor still good!

    The 4.6L still had the 2 valve heads then, and are very reliable. The 3V uses cam phasers, and that's been a weak point with the modular V8s, but Ford did improve them later on.
