2012 4x4 f150 rear end

    my 2012 f150 rear end housing has broke where it meets the differential passed the weld was wondering if anyone else has had or heard of this before

    That is a first for me, those axles are very stout for normal use never seen one beak three like that. Closest I've seen was a van that did that, but that guy had so much weight in the back it was riding on the bump stops.

    Was it hauling anything when it happened? Still under warranty?

    Also, welcome to the site.

    Only being a 2012 shouldn't it still be under warranty..? If not I'd be making a big stink about it at the Ford dealership..

    If it isn't under warranty, get another one from a salvage yard, not a new one. They last forever and generally have little wear even with hundreds of thousands of miles. Well, they last forever except yours. :(

    I have seen that before. .... modified off road and drag strip racing. Not stock non abused vehicles. That was a defect.
