Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here, but after 20 years in diesel pickups, this is my first gasser, and I really didn't see anything pertinent in a search.
It's a 2022 F-150 3.5 Ecoboost 4x4. One of the employees at the dealership had been driving it since June, but decided to join the Navy, so I picked it up a couple of weeks ago with 6400 miles on it. It has been leveled, and has custom wheels and 33" AT tires on it. It has 3.55 gears.
I'm really disappointed with the MPG so far, with a best of 17 MPG on a 70 MPH highway, about 14 around town, and only 13-14 mpg at 80-85 on the interstate. I know the gas mileage is not going to ever be what the sticker says, (17 city, 23 highway), and always goes down with bigger, more aggressive tires, but not this much.
Is this normal for a pickup like this?

Thanks for your input. I’m aware of the relationship between boost and fuel, I’ve had 5 diesels over the years.
I was just curious about other driver’s experiences as far as their MPGs with this engine and pickup.

 

Taller tire will affect mileage. 100 miles on odometer could be 110 actual miles. Not sure what factory tire size is. Heavier wheel and tire combo will use more gas. And of course the size of your right foot makes a difference.
