I have a 2022 F250 super crew, short box, 4x4, 7.3 gas, 3.55 rear end. Have driven 13,000 miles. Recently drove 236 mile trip, not towing just driving pickup. Avg 17.3 mpg.

I call that excellent mileage for any 3/4 truck, especially a gasser. I have the same truck only a 2020. Pulls like an ox, really like the 10 speed. I do have the Fx4, it was an At the dealer truck. Again I would never get the FX4 package, rides like there is no suspension at all!! I have never averaged that kind of mileage, I suspect you were very easy on the throttle!! I'm not...

Yes I am usually pretty lite on the pedal and stay at the posted speed limit.

Don't mistake my reply. On the interstate I TRY not to exceed 10 over the speed limit. I drove 200,000-300,000 miles + for many yrs and have reached the point I really am not excited about driving anymore so I have kinda developed a heavy foot!! At approx 75-80 or sometimes more, on the interstate I average 15-16 and consider that to be good for the truck and the way I drive. I have owned 2 of the old 5.4 in 03 and 04, that I never saw 16 mpg on the highway at those speeds, and they were half tons that ford bragged about all the torque they had. In my opinion they were both dogs as far as towing or fuel mileage.
