I want to replace the worn out 292 in my 1966 F100 with a freshly rebuilt 289. I have a 3 speed manual, and I want to go EFI.

What all do I need to consider?

    Thanks,

    will

Are you sure you have a 292? I don’t think Ford used the Yblock after 64.

Ditto, 57 FordGuy. Warranty plate on drivers door, post the fourth digit/letter we can tell you what engine came from factory. It be, F10?

You can put 289, a google search for swap will save a lot of writing here.

    And welcome to FTZ!
