I would like to bring the gas filler hose of the rear mounted gas tank out the side of the fender. To do this I would like to raise the box one & half inch. Will this cause me any problems.

 

Do you mean raise the entire bed or just the bedwood ?? big difference raising the entire bed will change where the running boards meet the rear fenders. Also the rear bumper will be lower. Raising the bedwood is a better route.

Thanks John, I had not though of what happens when raising the entire box. I will take your advice & raise the floor of the bed.
