Looking for parts. I can't find the adjusting spring for rear drum brake for a 1961 F250 with single wheel cylinder. I can find everything else I need. Will another spring work?

    Thanks,

Adjusting Spring?? That truck should have originally manually adjusted brakes. Are you referring to the spring that holds the shoes together on the bottom at the adjuster?
Single wheel cylinder?? Does the wheel cylinder have 1 actuating pin like it pushes 1 shoe or 2 pins that pushes both shoes??

Thanks for the reply. The manual I have refers to the bottom spring that attaches the shoe as an adjusting screw spring. And it is a single cylinder with to pins that push both shoes.

Sorry about the misspelling. Two pins.

Thanks for this. I’m finding that’s true. I’ll try this place.
