So I have a 1963 F100 short styleside bed, 2wd, 292 custom cab. Truck is in good original shape, but needs work on the bed. The bed floor at the front is rusted away from the front head board about 5 inches and the front bed crossmember under that area has rusted away also. I am having trouble finding replacement pieces to fix it with. Does anyone have a contact that supplies these parts? Found a crossmember for a 1960, but don't know if it's the same?

All the bed related parts are obsolete, AFAIK, no one reproduces them.

Same Styleside beds, called the "wrong" beds by owners of 1961/66's, because the bed lines don't match the cab lines.

Ok. I understand. I think that I can repair it with sheet metal pretty easily and make a crossmember out of square tubing. Why doesn't anyone reproduce anything for these trucks besides emblems and weatherstripping? Are they rare?

Reproducing parts is very expensive, so there has to be a big demand for them for the repro parts sellers to "take the plunge."

There's no sheet metal reproduced for the Styleside beds used 1964/66, 1967/72, 1973/79 or 1980/86 except for the tailgates used on 1967/72's & 1973/79's.

Ok, I have ordered a catalog from them, but haven't received it yet. I did get one from NPD and see where they list the front bed crossmember and some other parts I've been looking for. I like using them cause I have dealt with them in the past with a 70 mustang I use to have.

 

hear that, npd and opgi i've had issues with like back ordering and drop shipping from other stores i could have ordered from directly and cut out the middle man fees,
the 64 GTO we finished a few months back, i ordered the interior kit from opgi of course it became back ordered, they ordered it from legendary .heck they are a 3 hour drive north of me in upstate NY, i could have driven there,dropped off the seats to be done there and had them back in a month fully rebuilt. not knowing we waited for 4 months for what we were told was a special order build kit and still had to have a shop install the covers
