Hey everyone im new to all this and i have a couple of questions about a 62 ford truck i got. It was my grandpas and my dads truck. Im trying to find out what kind of engine its has so i can get some parts for it. I have the vin number and model number. It is standered and has a inline 6. The problem is i cant tell if it is a 223 or 262. Also i want to change the front end im just not sure what year of a crown vic will work on it.

    Welcome to FTZ!

You didn't specify what kind of truck? F100? F250? F350?

Look for the fuel mounted on the timing cover, that would tell you it's a 262. Also, give us the numbers off the door plate, that contains the info (assuming the engine has not been swapped).

114 hp would be the 223
    262 was 152 hp

To work on a truck with enough room to stand on the ground inside the engine bay!
