Recently bought a 76 f250 ranger xlt w460 and 2wd. She’s in pretty decent shape overall and my intent is to make her beautiful. At present it’s completely factory original. I just found a complete 78 f250 4wd chassis.
My question is do I leave it completely original or make the transition?

    Hey Vagabond,
    Sorry for the late reply.
The question you ask is a pretty interesting one as I think you are the only one with the best answer.
You are the only one that knows what you like and expect out of your old truck.
I am the type that personally doesn't care what others think I should do with my truck.
Sure, I ask questions like has anyone used a certain product or performed a mechanical function but as to what I do is
my choice. I believe these old trucks were made for work and if I thought I was going to use it as a 4x4 then i would swap it and make it what I wanted. I like to keep it looking nice but very functional, I am NOT the trailer queen or all numbers matching type.
Sorry for the long and non direct answer to your question but I do like to say my .02 worth.......

Thanks for the input! Sorta bad wording, realize it’s my decision, was more looking at which would be the most desirable
Original or upgraded, in the classic truck world. This is my first and the reason I joined the forum. It’s always good to listen to the input from those that have the experience and are “ in the know”
