86 350 to a 88 350 frame.

    Can I put a 87 350 body automatic 4x4 on a 88 350 frame 2wd manual efi?

    reason for this. 88 body is shot. Bones are good.

    Also what year bodies can I put on the 88 without to much hassle?

    I’m getting into something I’ve never done before I think I can do this but any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

    honestly all things considered if you have experiance with body work it will be a breeze but if not id get advice from a professional

    They are close but not a 100% straight out swap since they 1987-1991 is a different generation from the 1980-1986. There are lots of little things that add up to a lot extra work like the front fenders not mounting the same, swapping the 88 wiring harness (if it's fuel injected) into the 1986, bumpers not mounting the same, etc. Then there are 4wd versus 2wd frame differences. 4x4 has leaf springs up front, 2wd has coils.
