I bought this truck not too long ago and I am looking for any input. According to my wiring diagram, power runs from the fuel pump relay to the inertia switch into the tank selector. I have power to the sending unit but I am not getting any voltage to the inertia switch. There are only three relays in the power distribution box. I have not been able to find an image of my exact box. 95 shows relay for fuel pump is the second one in. I put all new relays in. Still no power to inertia. I have read that the pcm controls this, is this factual?

I think that the pump relay is mounted on the fender. Not in the box.

 

Thank you for the input. Nothing on the fender. What I am finding out is that the relays are actuated by the pcm. Only problem is when I tried to pull up codes from eec, there is no power there. There is a diode in the power distribution box that runs power to the pcm. I have two. One is running 2 ohms resistance and the other is at 8. Anyone have any information on this? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks all.

 

Got it thank you! Digging in a little further, I found a completely oxidized 10 gage wire under the fuse box. Repaired it. The dash lights up now. Checked circuitry to the fuel pump and it looks good. But I am still not getting the pump to run when key in run position. Tried a code reader but I was told if the engine light is not on, I will not get any codes. Thinking about going back in to look for more broken wires. How does one tell if a PCM is faulty?
