Anyone have any info on what would fit? Was told at a salvage yard that Ford 16" rims won't fit. Had to find 16 Dodge instead, and widen out the hub hole to fit my Ford?

 

My 72 F250 Camper Special has 15" - but now that I'm thinking about it, I'd have to go out to the farm and look at them just to double check. The 87 F250 Custom and 96 F 250 XLT Power Stroke use standard Ford 8 lug 16" wheels. Just replaced the wheels on the 96 a year ago and found them to be as common as blades of grass in the front yard.
78 F250 Ranger had 16.5's and that WAS beginning to be a problem.

Maybe Ken or someone much smarter than I will come along in short order with more info, but as far as I know, for the most part, Ford Wheels are easy acquisitions with nothing Dodge about them.

I didn't put in my beginning that I'm working on an F150, with 5 lug wheels. The salvage yard said Ford went to metric spacing (instead of 5 1/2") on 16" wheels after 1996? This F150 has so much empty wheel well around the factory 15" tires, it just needs a bigger tire/wheel combo. The plus one tire size to maintain diameter is 255/65R16. Thanks!
