'92 F150; 4.9L inline 6

    Greetings all- just did 1st oil change on my newly bought well used F150. Only 96k miles, and runs great, but with 5 qts new oil & motorcraft FL-1 filter, the stick says I'm still a quart low. It was bleeding oil out the right front pan gasket area, (gasket bolts were tight) and it had a wrong oil filter on it- which was prompting me to make sure to get correct quarts/filter on it. Wondering if I have the wrong stick in this 6? Adding oil qt# six would bring dipstick to full, but have to think too much oil was a problem to begin with. Anyone with experience on this? Thanks!

    I believe your engine calls for six quarts with filter change. ..

    Thanks. Should have known the Ford owners manual wouldn't include the 1 quart filter contents? My manual says 5 quarts for the 4.9; 5.0; and 5.8 engines in 1992.

    Well. .. it says six quarts .screen shot ain't so good.
