My friend has this truck, and just replaced the transmission with a fresh rebuild
She is a Animal rescue Foster mom, and don't have a bunch of money to keep throwing at this truck
Several people have been involved so far with several cures, all involving way too much money

I scanned it with my invicta scanner, and found that code
    It could be
    1) 4x4 low switch
    2) transmission control module behind dash
The truck has to be started in 2nd gear, and does not shift
When you hit 4h, the transfer case motor is working, I can hear it, and the 4h light comes on
when you hit 4l, nothing happens.
The transmission is 1 month old, and I called them, they said that code has nothing to do with them, the transmission is fine
I cleared the code with the scanner, it came right back

I have the serial number of the truck here if it is needed, but won't post it

The second problem with this truck, there is an ABS code.
I scanned it out as a code 35, front speed sensor, but my scanner is setup for Ford, and without downloading the GM ABS program into it, I can't tell which one
Can I just plug the new speed sensor in and rescan without putting it where it belongs to see if the code is gone? or do I have to pay for the GM download to use it 1 time?

Any help is appreciated, because I know her, the money she spends will come out of her food budget, not the animal budget, she will do without before the animals do

Disconnect the transfer control module. See if it shifts properly.
You can test the speed sensors with a multi meter at their plug.

Under the truck at the transfercase?
    Or the switches themselves

Under dash. Point is checking improper signal. Short to ground.

Is it near the 4x4 switches?
I won't be able to work on the truck until Sat
Could you PM me your #, so I can call you, and talk to you while I am trying to diagnose it?
I'll go ahead and order a new 2h4h4l switch from rock auto today, should be here by then.
Anything else I should order with it?
