The door on my 92 won't open from the outside. It's lost the retainer that holds the the bent rod in place. Any ideas what I could use to hold the rod in place? Thanks in advance for your ideas.

 

it's a formed plastic clip/bushing ,only real way to fix it is a new one from ford

I talked with the dealership parts man today I needed to know the color of the plastic fitting. Does anyone know what that would be?

 

Have you tried the local parts store. They should have a pack of clips in the help section. Found my tailgate retaining clip in that section at advance auto

So far I haven’t been able to locate the plastic end for the inside of the door panel to repair it.
