Fuel Issue 1996 F-150

    Just bought this 1996 F-150 5.0 5 speed truck. When I switch to rear tank the truck dies. Not sure if it’s a pump or clogged filter. Any suggestions and or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    It sounds like the pump. I had the same issue only with the front tank. My understanding is if it were a fuel filter issue, it would run rough or studder/stall on acceleration.

    My 95 150 did same thing when I bought it. I swapped out the whole fuel pump module and replaced the selector switch on the dash and all is well now. 60.00 on Amazon
