2012 ford f150 xlt, airbag light has remained on. How to disconnect the yellow plastic sensor under the passenger side. Have disconnected the battery. Not sure how to disconnect, I want to clean it out with some Electronic spray. There's a red tab in the front/middle of the sensor. I have moved the sensor, back & forth & the airbag light has gone off for period of time, but has come back on. The fuse in good. Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

 

what codes is it throwing? light on it has to have 1 or more

 

No Code, Air Bag light comes on when ignition is turned on, shuts off for about 3 seconds, the come back on. No blinking

 

When ignition is turned on Air Bag light comes on, shuts off for about 3 seconds, & comes back on solid no blinking to read codes, & stays on.

 

NO CODES? WHAT scanner are you using? it must be one that reads ABS not something like a dongle off a cell phone or laptop ,, if using a real scanner that is reading abs and it truly has no codes take it to a dealer it needs to be pin boxed to find the short . as if the light comes on it has to throw a fault,
