Annoying buzzing sound when truck is Idling-2000 F-150 XLT

    I think it is the catalytic converter or maybe the shield. Any ideas or similar problems

    Get about 6 foot of garden hose, move one end around under the hood, with the other end to your ear. It's an old mechanic's trick to pinpoint the location of noises.

    LOL……I think it is the catalytic converter heat shield. It could be the converter but I guess I need to change it to find out. Anyone know of any good catalytic converter retailer?
