I am a new user and I was just wondering if anyone has a fix for this problem it's a common problem with the C6 transmission and I'm hoping somebody out there and give me a hand with fixing this problem. Not only am I having trouble getting it into Park but also at times it tends to slip from Park into reverse on its own which is really dangerous if your truck is running. Any assistance would be gratefully accepted and sincerely appreciated

 

I would look first at the lock in the steering column that wears out because people usually don’t pull back on shifter to take it out of park
Next the shift arm inside the transmission has detentes for each gear. Could also be worn or broke
