Hi, Everyone, Happy New Year! I have a '92 F250 gasser, 460 engine and E40D transmission. The truck only has 46k miles on it and I only put about 1,000 miles on it per year. I have been running conventional oil and changing it twice per year. The thought occurred to me that I should probably be running synthetic oil since I don't put very many miles on it and I only change the oil twice per year. Does anyone have experience running synthetic oil? What type/brand/oil change frequency do you recommend? As you can imagine I only use the truck if I have something big/heavy/messy and I don't regularly pull a trailer. So I would say I use it for light duty purposes (dirt, rock, wood, trash, furniture). Thank you!
