2017 Integrated Brake Controller problems

    Brake controller will not adjust gain. When I bought truck used the gain was at 10 and I dropped it to 0 to work the gain up with my new trailer. Now it will not go over 0 if I squeeze the brake controller obviously it will not apply brakes and hit the + button it will not go up but it still shows up on my cluster when I press any of it. Fuses are fine. Any idea of a fix?

    Sounds like it's simply defective and needs replacing. It uses a variable capacitor and it sounds like that is shot. I've read several stories of gain failure on these, either stuck at 0 or 10.

    If you start the truck with and without the trailer connected, are you seeing a difference on the dash or the trailer connected light on the controler?
