Does anyone know if I can use a Type G clutch bit in a Type A screw? I'm trying to install some fuel bowl gaskets on my '86 F-250 and encountered some old Type A clutch heads inside one of the bowls.

Type A bits on Amazon take a good week to two weeks to arrive, with no option for expedited shipping. There's a Tacoma Screw store near me, but they apparently only sell Type G bits. If a Type G can be used on a Type A, I can finish fixing my truck on Monday and stop hitchhiking to work. If they're not compatible, then I'm hosed for a week or two.

I don't know but I've had success just shaping an old flat screwdriver to "close enough" on clutch screws.
