The 460 is coming out of my 66 and the 70 302 that is in my 65 custom 500 will be going in,since I still have the pedal and linkage that came on the 66 I am thinking about a manual transmission. Would the Z bar attach to the block where the ball screws in or is there a bracket that is needed,I have never seen a 65 or 66 with a 302 that has a manual transmission and would 67 to 72 or 73 to 79 parts be needed.

There is a bell crank on the frame, just like the 70's trucks. Not sure if the same.
    Bill will have that answer

The 66 originally had a 4 speed and have the parts that mount it to the frame and also the bracket that bolts to the bellhousing on the original 352.

Notice that the 302 uses a stud to attach the clutch equalizer (Z) bar to the bell housing.

That is what I needed to know, all I will need is the ball and I have all the rest of the linkage parts. I do have a bellhousing that I think is for a 164 tooth flywheel but I can buy new flywheels reasonable and use a 11 inch clutch that I have from the 352.
