    312's were only installed in 1956/57 Ford/Thunderbird, 1956/60 Merc's. No truck ever had a factory installed 312.

    Wouldn't argue the point but I was sure I seen a sticker on the air cleaner that said 312 or 317 . The old guy at the time who sold me the cab said it was a running motor and wrapped it up as soon as I took the cab and front clip off it. it is still sitting there. I plan on going back and wander through the yard again now that the grandson is running the business now, If I think of it I'll take some pictures to prove you are right...lol

    Any idea on the original use of the interior door tags? I'm not sure if those are just custom badges or if the F-100 script was used on an exterior. Any thoughts Bill?
