I made the back seat of the truck convertible from a seat for humans to a bed for Ridgebacks. The platform was easy to make and I covered it with a heavy black felt. I glued 3/8" plywood and 1x - super lightweight and strong.

I gave measurements to Foam Factory (Macomb, MI) and they cut the foam to my dimensions and also made slip covers. I left the jack in place and the foam simply covers it.

I'll have someone make a fitted black throw cover to give it a finished look. To give you an idea how light the platform is, the foam is heavier.

I still need to make a pad and cover for the rear panel.
