I know there's a ton of us that installed custom wheels on their rigs. After researching quite a few myself I found a lot of incorrect information, even from the manufacturers.
So if you've installed custom wheels and DIDN'T HAVE TO SHAVE THE WHEEL HUB, USE SPACERS OR ADAPTORS, OR CAST SOME MAGIC SPELL.....please post what kind of wheel it is and please give as many specifics as possible. Width, backspacing, model name, etc,etc.
And on a personal note....if anybody is using Cragar SS wheels, please let me know. I desperately want a set on my 74 but i'm getting conflicting info.

 

81 F250 has KD Wheels Rockstar XD775 wheels. 17x8. I'll dig up more info and pics when I get home. Should fit earlier models.

 

Sorry about the lame thread folks. Getting info about wheels seems to be harder than it should be. Contacted a few manufacturers and most either didn't have a clue if the wheel ACTUALLY fit or simply didn't respond back.

Styled steel and aluminum wheels introduced by FoMoCo in 1977 F100/150 & E150, Bronco's got 'em in 1978. There are various different styles used thru 1996 (F150/Bronco), thru 2014 (E150).

5 lug wheels on a 5.50" bolt circle: 1948/52 F1 / 1953/79 F100 / 1966/96 Bronco / 1969/74 E200 / 1975/96 F150 / 1975/2014 E100/150 / Some 1980/83 F100's.

 

You know, as much as I really love the Cragar SS wheels I sure do like the look of an old smoothie oem wheel with the smaller hub cap and trim rings. I might end up going that route since at least 2 companies have oem wheels that will definitely work and can be made to any width or offset. Old skool works !! Why fight it. LOL
