    Dodge Dokota with 5 lug wheels is one that's been popular due to it being the right width though you do have to cut it to get the right wheelbase. You'll also want to use a Ford axle on it. Or a Crown Vic though you have to narrow the frame.

    I've always heard the Ranger/Explorer swap was a good one, why don't you want it?

    I saw one at the Ozark F100 Run a few weeks ago on about a 98 Explorer frame. Fit well. 5.0 antilock brakes, automatic, cruise.
